My practice explores the codependent relationship between drawn objects and the structures that house them. Working across furniture, objects, and drawing, I consider frames not as decorative afterthoughts but as formal extensions of the drawings themselves. Through this process, a drawing and its structure become inseparable.
I work through repetition and rhythm, drawing on musical composition and grid-based systems as frameworks. Using basic office supplies such as circle stencils, stickers, and rulers, I develop drawings on wooden panels emerging from close attention to mundane, everyday observations and curiosities. The drawings are housed within frame-like structures that also function as furniture; the drawings and their structures operate as a single visual system, blurring the boundary between surface and structure, image and object.
